Civil War History

This one-day field trip was an opportunity for students to discover local Civil War History right here in Northern Virginia.
 
Campers learned:
 
  • Where Mosby's Rangers roamed during the Civil War
  • Orienteering while exploring the hills and valleys on the Farm using a topographical map and compass
  • To create and publish a newsletter describing what they experienced at the Farm using laptop computers

  • Science 4.1, 4.2, 5.1
